Title: Poetical Days

Rating: PG
Spoilers: none
Wordcount: 1884

Summary: Even in hindsight, Merlin maintained that the problems did not begin with him writing poetry. They began when Arthur caught him writing poetry. It didn't help that the poem in question was an overwrought description of the anguish of life.

It's time to shore back up that good old stiff upper lip and repress all that untidy emotional stuff.

The Emo Challenge is now over. The 4 entries can be found via the memories or the emo challenge tag.

And while I'm here, I'm going to make an emotional plea for more challenge suggestions - please, please comment with any ideas you have to any admin post. The suggestions we've already had have been great, but more are always welcome and loved and cuddled. *makes bambi eyes*

A new challenge will go up very shortly.
At the suggestion of kiarasayre, the next challenge is all about anachronisms. Like those fleur-de-lis that have been spotted decorating Camelot, like Gaius' strikingly modern medical knowledge and scientific methods (and equipment), like the tomatoes that get thrown at Merlin in the stocks, Merlin is full of things that don't quite fit the era.

So write about someone or something that is out of their time, that doesn't fit. Or as kiarasayre put it, try and work in the most ridiculous anachronism you can think of as seamlessly as possible and push that fourth wall a bit.

You have until Friday 13th March 22.00 GMT before the time is up.
